For those of you joining us from previous weeks, welcome back! For those of you just joining in, welcome to Romance Weekly where each week a bunch of us authors will answer the same three questions and you get to hop around from blog to blog and learn a little more about us. 🙂 This week’s questions are brought to you by Dani Jace. 🙂 Ready? Let’s do this.
1. What is the most unusual thing you’ve ever done in the name of research for a book?
Hmmmm, that’s a tough question. I’m not sure how unusual it is, but I have travelled to Scotland twice for research purposes for the first two books in my Highland Chiefs series.
2. Name a nonfiction book you’ve read for research that you wouldn’t have read otherwise. Not including writing craft books.
Possibly some of the materials I’ve acquired on Scottish history. I have some I would have read anyway, but I have a couple obscure ones I may not have sought out. There’s also a witch’s almanac I don’t think I would have picked up. It’s a fun read though. Lots of spells in there so watch yourselves…;-)
3. If you could travel anywhere to do research for a book, including back in time, where would you go?
Oh this one is easy. I’d go back to Scotland. I would love to go back and do more research for the remainder of my Highland Chiefs series and for a new series I hope to begin next year. Who’s with me?
Well that’s it for me this time around. Keep on hippity hopping and see how fellow journal junkie Jamie Denise answered the questions. 🙂
