Romance Weekly

Posted by on 10 June, 2014

For those of you joining us from previous weeks, welcome back! For those of you just joining in, welcome to Romance Weekly where each week a bunch of us authors will answer the same three questions and you get to hop around from blog to blog and learn a little more about us. πŸ™‚ This week’s questions are brought to you by the most fabulous Kim Handysides πŸ™‚ Ready? Let’s do this.

What’s your ideal: alpha or beta and why?

Alpha all the way for me baby. Oh yeah! Love the strong, take command kinda hero who knows what he wants and goes for it. I love it even more when he’s dead wrong about something and the heroine has to teach him a few lessons. πŸ˜‰

Do you have a male buddy or mate you use for confirmation or inspiration when crafting your heroes?

Yes, I do consult sometimes. Though I usually have a pretty good idea who my male characters are and a clear vision of their goals/motivations/conflicts, sometimes I need to drill deeper into the ever mysterious male mind. πŸ˜‰ What do I find? It’s usually not that complicated at all. πŸ™‚ We women are usually the ones who overthink stuff.

What does any hero have to do to win your heart?

My heart is not easily won. It would take a lot of patience and consistency I think. Mutual respect is a big thing for me and I don’t like being smothered. Man, this is a hard question. What does he have to do? Be confident about the person he is, let me be the person I am. I am happily married and have been for a long time. If I were a single woman at this point in my life, I really wouldn’t know what it would take. But Richard Armitage could certainly give it a try if he was so inclined. Just sayin’.

Well that’s it for me for this week. Keep on hippity hoppin along to see how paranomal romance author, Fiona Riplee answered this week’s questions. Laters!

True! The most fun is when the big bad alpha goes “Huh?” Great post, Kate!

Did you say Richard Armitage? Sighs all the sighs.

I love when the tables get flipped on the alpha male, bruised ego and all.

I feel the same way, I’ve been married so long now, I’m pretty sure it would take a whole lot to get me out of my ‘set’ ways πŸ™‚ Great blog!!!
