About Me

This is me!This is me! I write historical romance novels out of pure escapism and a love for all things Scottish, not to mention a life-long enjoyment of reading romance.

I love the research process and delving into secondary sources in order to blend authentic historical fact into my stories. I’ve traveled to Scotland twice and visited the sites described in my Highland Chiefs series.

Bound to the Highlander, released October 2013, is the first of five books set in the early fifteenth century during the reign of James Stewart, first of his name. Promised to the Highlander, second in the series, was released May 30th, 2014 and the third, Enemy of the Highlander was released November 21st, 2014.

I live in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada.

Kate, where can I find your Highlander books!

        • katerobbins

Nicole, you have made this little writer very happy today. Thank you so much for your enthusiasm. While mine aren’t published yet, I can recommend Julianne MacLean, Deborah Hale, Cathie Dunn and Nancy Jardine as having Scottish historical romances I’ve read recently and loved.

Debbie, you absolutely amaze me! So proud to have been one of the first to read your first rough draft (bragging rights!) :-). I have to come see you to get mine signed. Truly wonderful, like you are.

I met your brother in London in 2012 when we shared a taxi. He was on leave and had been to Scotland with you while you were doing some reasearch.

He told me and my husband all about your first novel which was not then published. I looked forward to reading it and was not disappointed.
